This play is one of Chinese director Meng Jinghui’s most creative works. He adapted Austrian novelist Stefan Zweig’s *novella, Letter From an Unknown Woman, into a *monodrama. The play tells a story of an author who is reading a letter from a woman he encountered but doesn’t remember. “The play will exemplify the complicated feelings of love and torture,” Meng told China Daily. Letter From an Unknown Woman has drawn international attention after being staged in New York, France and UK.
