BEFORE British author Arthur Ransome (1884-1967) wrote the children’s books that made him famous, he led an exciting and sometimes even dangerous life. He became a writer for a British newspaper and reported on many important events, such as the Russian Revolution of 1917. Some even say he was a spy (间谍)!
