Gold-giver, not digger

Amber Heard, 30, US

Amber Heard, Johnny Depp’s ex wife, has *slammed *naysayers by donating her full 7-million-dollar (46-million-yuan) divorce settlement to charity. Many called her a gold-digger when she accused Depp of abusing her. However, after handing over the not-so-small fortune to a domestic violence charity and children’s hospital, her actions show that the criticisms were misrepresented. “As described in the *restraining order and divorce settlement, money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully help those less able to defend themselves,” Heard said in a statement released by People on Aug 18.
