US Congress overwhelmingly rejected president Barack Obama’s *veto of the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (JASTA) on Sept 28. The legislation allows relatives of the victims of the Sept 11 attacks to sue Saudi Arabia in US courts for the Middle Eastern kingdom’s alleged backing of the attackers.
