You may have heard from some so-called friends that what you have been fighting for is not within your reach and that you have no chance to succeed. The question is, do you 1 them and change your dreams or goals?

Two years ago, I happened to meet a lady at a local market who wanted to branch out (扩大范围) further in her life by starting to 4 her own, small home business. She was 7 to go it alone (单干), afraid that she wouldn’t be 8 to make enough money to quit her boring day job. Her biggest 9 was not her ability; it was her 10 in herself.

Most of her friends and acquaintances (熟人) 11 her ability to be a business owner, or suggested to her that she should just forget about her business idea and 12 her job, telling her that jobs were hard to come by. 13 for her, though, she did not want to totally give up her idea. And, while she continued to have doubts about what she really wanted to do, her goal was totally 14 by a new business acquaintance.

Her business acquaintance gave her encouragement and made time 15 whenever she needed questions or suggestions, or just to talk about business issues. Though she had all the right plans and the ability to succeed, she 16 her own obstacle. The good news is that she continued, even though she was 17 with self-doubt, and quit her day job to go it alone last year.

My wife, Tere, and I purchased a new car in December. We decided to drive to Texas for a wonderful week with Grandma.

We had a great time 1 Grandma. On the return trip we had to hurry home. After 2 in torrential rain for several hours, we arrived home late at night. We were ready for 3 . I wanted to unpack the car that night, 4 all Tere wanted was to sleep, so we 5 to unload the car in the morning.
