Two canceled girls

The inspirational story of two girls chasing their dreams will soon come to an end. On May 12, US TV station CBS announced that TV comedy 2 Broke Girls (《破产姐妹》) has been canceled after six seasons. According to entertainment site Deadline, CBS and the show’s production company, Warner Bros., couldn’t come to an agreement over the financials (财务) of the TV series, which led to the end of the show. The comedy follows two young women, Max Black and Caroline Channing – played by US actresses Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs – working as waitresses at a diner. The pair work hard in the hope of raising enough money to launch their own cupcake business. The two actresses both posted a joint message on their respective (各自的) social media accounts, reading, “We’ve had a wonderful 6 seasons as Max and Caroline and we thank all of you for watching and enjoying it along with us. We are so proud of all the things this experience has given us, the most treasured is our lifelong friendship.”
