It was lunchtime on March 27. More than 70 jars (坛子) of pickles (泡菜) were put in order at Chengdu No 7 Wanda High School in Sichuan. Students and teachers tasted the pickles and picked out their favorite ones. But these pickles didn’t come from a store or supermarket. Students made them in their biology classes as part of an in-school project. Learning to make pickles helped them learn about some biology concepts (概念). This was the third time for the school to hold this activity.
