With their bright pink color and hair-dryer-like heads, the members of the Peppa Pig family have become a global hit since the cartoon’s release in 2004. The British animated show, which has been broadcast in 180 countries and regions in 40 languages, is so popular that a theme park – Peppa Pig World – was opened in 2011 in Hampshire, UK. And news came that Entertainment One, the company behind the animation, is planning to build new Peppa Pig theme parks in both Beijing and Shanghai this year – just in time for China’s Year of the Pig in 2019.
