任务型阅读：什么样的英语字典更好用？

Today’s English learners have many dictionaries to choose from. There are dictionaries with American English, British English, idioms or slang (俚语), and even pictures. Some of the most popular kinds of dictionaries I have seen among students these days are electronic dictionaries (电子词典). All you have to do is type in (输入) a word in your language and you can see it and hear it in English. Bilingual (双语的) electronic dictionaries are fast and easy to use. They can be great when you are traveling and need information quickly. One day you will learn enough of the language and be able to ask the meaning of certain things while using English. Translating (翻译) between languages in your head takes time. You should be translating as little as possible and you should be thinking in English as much as possible. Using English-English dictionaries such as Longman is better.
