Do you know how to play with a diabolo (空竹)? It is a traditional Chinese toy. On Sept 22, more than 400 diabolo fans came together at Beijing Huimin School. They showed their skills at a national diabolo competition. There were 45 teams in all, including 12 school teams. The diabolos made a loud buzzing (嗡嗡响) sound as the competitors played with them. Many schools in Beijing are now encouraging (鼓励) their students to learn the diabolo.TEENS
