《当呼吸化为空气》,一位外科医生的生命之歌。词数 306 建议阅读时间 5分钟

For the first time and the last, Paul Kalanithi stood in the position of both doctor and patient to examine himself. What would he do to fill his life with meaning? In his book When Breath Becomes Air, written after he was diagnosed (确诊) with lung cancer, he said “The physician’s (内科医生的) duty is not to stave off (延缓) death or return patients to their old lives, but to take into our arms a patient whose lives have disintegrated (瓦解) and work until they can stand back up and face, and make sense of, their own existence.”
