Humpback whales (座头鲸) are big animals – about the size of a bus. They are found in every ocean in the world. This whale is famous for its singing. In the 1960s, humpback whales living on the east coast of Australia nearly became extinct (灭绝的) because of hunting. In 1962, the Australian government banned commercial (商业的) whale hunting and worked to protect the animal, ABC News reported.
