Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka, 23, came from behind to win her second title in the US Open. On Sept 11, she defeated Belarusian player Victoria Azarenka despite her loss in the first set. The last time a woman came back from a set down in the final to win the title occurred in 1994. Osaka said that even two years ago, she would have given up more easily when she faced a setback in a match. “But I think all the matches that I played in between that time shaped me and made me or forced me to [be] mature more,” Osaka told the Los Angeles Times. “I’m more of a complete player now.” This slam (获胜) also made her the first Asian player to win three Grand Slam singles titles, surpassing (超过) Li Na’s two slam wins.
