The world has lost nearly 100 million hectares (公顷) (1 million square kilometers) of forests in two decades, according to a report by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), a United Nation’s agency. This marks a steady decline (下降), though at a slower pace (速度) than before, Straits Times reported.
