These diamonds (钻石) were “made from the sky”. Dale Vince, a British environmentalist (环保人士), made them. He used carbon dioxide (二氧化碳) from the air and rainwater. Carbon dioxide and rainwater have the same “ingredients (元素)” as diamonds. Vince plans to make thousands of carats (克拉) of these diamonds every year. Vince said these diamonds are more environmentally friendly than regular (一般的) diamonds. They don’t need to be mined.
