Denzel Washington has topped The New York Times’ 25 Greatest Actors of the 21st Century (So Far). “Washington is ... a screen titan who is also a subtle (精巧的) and sensitive craftsman (工匠), with serious old-school stage training and blazing (闪耀的) movie-star presence,” Times critic A.O. Scott commented. One of his classic works is Training Day (《训练日》), a crime film in which he plays a corrupt (腐败的) detective. This role helped him become the second African-American actor to win the Oscar for Best Actor in 2002.
