On Tomb-Sweeping Day (清明节), I went to Giraffe Park in Huzhou. There are eight giraffes living in the park. The park keeper told us that when giraffes drink water, they have to bend their necks and splay (劈开) their legs. Their necks and legs are so long that they need at least one minute to raise their heads and stand up. Danger often comes at this time. Hunters and lions can easily catch them in the wild (野外) while they are drinking water.
