NASA’s Perseverance rover has made oxygen (氧气) on Mars. They used MOXIE, a toaster-sized (烤面包机大小的) tool, to do it. MOXIE made just 5 grams of oxygen this time, enough for an astronaut to breathe (呼吸) for 10 minutes. But it will make oxygen at least nine more times over the next two years. We can not only use oxygen to breathe, but also as fuel (燃料) for rocket engines. The experiment (实验) could help us explore farther into space.
