Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won the Japanese Grand Prix on Oct 9, his 12th win in this season’s Formula One (F1). With such an insurmountable (不可逾越的) lead of 366 points, the 25-year-old will soon clinch his second straight F1 drivers’ title. The Dutchman’s second win has helped him move into an elite (精英的) company and also marks the end of the dominance of British driver Lewis Hamilton. According to NBC News, many famous racers have not returned to the track and Hamilton has disappointed many fans by not winning one race this season. Los Angles Times said that “Verstappen is the future of the F1 race”.
