For the first time in history, a robot artist has spoken in front of the British Parliament (英国议会). On Oct 11, Ai-Da, a humanoid (人形的) robot artist, talked about technology’s role in art with people. The funny thing is, Ai-Da suddenly shut down and had to be restarted. But she gave a speech and could answer questions in real time. “I am, and depend on, computer programs and algorithms (算法). Although not alive, I can still create art,” Ai-Da said. Ai-Da has created several artworks including paintings and sculptures.
