Professor Joseph Dituri (R) from University of South Florida, US, is spending 100 days underwater for scientific research from March to June. He wants to study how underwater pressure (压力) affects the human body in order to find ways to treat diseases (疾病) and prolong (延长) human life. He is staying in a small room 9 meters underwater. If the plan goes well, Dituri, 55, will break the world record for living underwater for 73 days. IC
