In 2013, Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed (提议) the initiatives (倡议) of jointly building a Silk Road Economic Belt and a 21st Century Maritime Silk Road (海上丝绸之路), which became known as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI, “一带一路”倡议). This year marks the 10th anniversary (周年) of the BRI. As the BRI continues to bring the world together, young people from the Belt and Road countries see how it continues to develop and have a deeper understanding of it.
