Leonilyn Uy, 29, is from the Philippines. She manages her family’s business. She comes from a Chinese family and can speak Filipino, English, Hokkien (闽南话) and a bit of Mandarin. She was an exchange student at Peking University and learned a lot about Chinese culture there. This led her to pursue a minor (辅修专业) in Chinese Studies during her college years.
