At the QS Reimagine Education Conference held in Abu Dhabi, Patrick Brothers, the co-founder and co-chief executive of HolonIQ, talked of the future of global education. HolonIQ forecasts that by 2030 there will be 8.95 million enrollments by international higher education students studying outside their home country. That figure comes despite a slight easing in the growth rate. The United States remains the primary destination for overseas students, and the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada attract many. Emerging markets such as China are increasingly becoming popular study destinations.
