On March 17, home favorite Bai Yulu claimed her maiden World Women’s Snooker Championship title after beating world number one Mink Nutcharut 6-5 in a thrilling final in Dongguan, Guangdong. The 20-year-old became the fourth player from Asia and the first woman from the Chinese mainland to win the title. She will also become the first woman from the Chinese mainland to turn professional when she joins the World Snooker Tour at the start of next season, according to the World Snooker Tour.
