On March 23, the ASEAN (Malaysia)-China Higher Education Forum was successfully held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This forum underscored the importance of education as a global imperative. Mustapha Sakmud, higher education deputy minister of Malaysia, highlighted China’s critical role in advancing higher education collaboration. Sakmud welcomed more graduate students and researchers from China to conduct their research and pursue their tertiary education in Malaysia. Marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Malaysia and China, the forum aimed to bolster educational cooperation. Shi Zhongjun, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Center, highlighted the forum as an opportunity to deepen mutual understanding and facilitate the exchange of ideas on areas such as student service and language teaching.
