2024 marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and China. Viktor Sadovnichy, the rector of Moscow State University, noted that approximately 7,000 students from the People’s Republic of China are currently enrolled at the university. He shared this statistic during a meeting with Huai Jinpeng, China’s Minister of Education. The rector also highlighted the longstanding academic partnership between Moscow State University and Peking University, which began over 35 years ago with their first cooperation agreement. Currently, the two institutions maintain 20 active agreements across various academic fields. He emphasized that the most significant ongoing educational collaboration between Russia and China is the joint university they have established with the Beijing Institute of Technology in Shenzhen, China.
