The third and final movie of the Venom franchise (系列) hit theaters on Oct 25. British actor Tom Hardy returns as Eddie Brock, who shares his body with the alien symbiote (共生体), Venom. The story picks up after Venom: Let There Be Carnage, with Eddie and Venom fleeing (逃离) from both Earth authorities and beings from Venom’s planet. Although the original 2018 Venom stood out as a quirky (古怪的), dark superhero film, this movie doesn’t offer much that is new. However, there are some fun additions, like “Venom Horse” and “Venom Frog”. The new movie enjoyed a high box office in China with $46 million (about 328 million yuan) over five days ‑ the biggest start for a superhero movie in China since Spider-Man: Far From Home (《蜘蛛侠:英雄远征》).
