Going hungry in Gaza: On Dec 20, Palestinian women and girls struggled to receive food at a distribution center in the Gaza Strip. Heavy winter rains, ongoing Israeli bombings and severe food shortages are putting lives at risk. The United Nations (UN) has described Gaza as "a graveyard". Conditions for children keep getting worse. For over 10 weeks, they have gone without emergency aid. According to the UN, limited access to aid meant that only 285,000 people received help from September to late November. At the same time, around 945,000 people urgently need support to survive the winter.
