In the small city of Bend, Oregon, US, people saw something funny in the streets. Someone put googly (瞪大的) eyes on 27 statues (雕像) in the city. The news called the person the “Googly Eyes Bandit (强盗)”. Many people said they loved these special big eyes because they made the town more interesting and fun. But the city workers did not feel the same. They had to spend $1,500 (about 10,900 yuan) carefully taking off the eyes without hurting the statues. That’s a lot of money.
