Earth-shattering loss: On March 29, students in Amritsar, India, held a candlelight vigil (守夜) to pray (祈祷) for victims of the earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. The earthquake, which struck Myanmar on March 28, had a magnitude of 7.9. As of April 2, 2,886 people had died, with 4,639 injured and 373 still missing, according to Xinhua. This was one of the strongest earthquakes Myanmar has experienced in a century.
