Showcasing chess culture: On April 12, a group of high school students in Tendo City, Yamagata Prefecture, Japan, performed Ningen Shogi, a human Japanese chess game. The students wearing armor acted as chess pieces and moved around a board. The annual event, marking its 70th anniversary this year, is held to spread shogi culture.
