On June 17, ahead of the upcoming zhongkao, Daozhou Yutan Dongyang School in Hunan held a special ceremony (仪式) for its Junior 3 students. Students walked along a red carpet (地毯) and jumped to touch a zongzi for good luck. Finally, they passed through the “Zhuangyuan Gate” to wish for success in the exam. Starting in early June, China’s zhongkao exams have begun across the country.
