Editor’s note: On Sept 3, a big military parade (阅兵) took place in Beijing. It marked the 80th anniversary of the victory (胜利) in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45) and the World Anti-Fascist War (中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法西斯战争).
