印度将大规模培训中小学生英语教师 THE Education Secretaries of the North-Indian states met recently to discuss implementing training schemes for school English teachers. The Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (CIEFL), who organized the talks, told its members expert language specialists, who hold masters degrees in English, should be employed as teachers. The CIEFL members also decided that the institute will train 95,000 teachers by the end of this year. 韩国宣布高校招生论文测试不再使用英语 THE Korean Education Ministry announced a new guideline for essay tests last week which several major universities had planned to administer independently. Under it, universities will be banned from using foreign languages in any essay questions. The move was interpreted as an attempt to further dictate the admission standards of universities. It will take effect from next month, when schools begin accepting applications for early admission for the next semester. |  |
