An exciting camp

I like camping in the woods with my family and my two dogs. This fall we had trouble putting up our tent because we were on a hill. We camped close to a lake and a pump for getting water. We had a large campfire (篝火) burning all day and late at night. I hiked in the woods and played with kids in another camp. The best part of camping is cooking hot dogs and marshmallows (药蜀葵) over the campfire. When it gets dark, we sit by the warm fire and listen to the owls. We look at the stars and watch the bats flying around. One night there was an owl sitting on our tent! Then we crawl into our sleeping bags (睡袋) and go to sleep in the tent. |  |
