Better get those hotel rooms right now

BEIJING Tourism Administration (BTA)（北京市旅游局） announced recently that about 5,000 hotels will be used for the 2008 Games. About 500,000 beds will be available to people from other parts of China and abroad. There will be over 800 star-rated hotels（星级宾馆）in Beijing by the 2008 Games. Xiong Yumei, BTA's deputy director said some of the best hotels are already fully booked, and 122 of the three-, four- and five-star hotels closest to the Olympic venues（场地） are at least 70 per cent filled. "There is no need to wait. Book it now," Xiong said in an interview with Reuters（路透社）. BTA officials said the lowest price of a standard room in five-star hotels will be about 2500 yuan per day, and the highest will be about 3230 yuan at most. |  |
