Realizing that 'less is more'

SEVERAL years ago, Bethany Feske, then a senior at Santa Clara University in California, took a cultural immersion trip to Duran, Ecuador. The people she met there lived in houses the size of an American garage. They wore second-hand clothes and fed their families supper with a can of tuna. To Feske's surprise, they seemed happy.
