Foreign teachers forming association in S. Korea
韩国首个英语外籍教师联盟成立
A GROUP of foreign teachers recently started a move to form an association for native English-speaking instructors to represent their interests and to play a bridging role between Korean and non-Korean English teachers in South Korea. The group’s working title is the Association for Teachers of English in Korea. It seeks to become the first-ever national organization for contracted foreign teachers in South Korea.
Canada funding English training for immigrants

THE Government of Canada recently announced new funding for the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program. Under the LINC program, Conestoga College will receive $3.2 million in funding for English-language training services. The government is committed to helping immigrants learn English, which supports them on their journey to Canadian citizenship.
