MELTA to promote English teaching 马来西亚与日本、泰国签署协议促进英语交流 THE Malaysian English Language Teaching Association (MELTA) recently signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the Japan Association of College English Teachers (JACET) and Thailand TESOL(ThaiTESOL) to promote communication between teachers of English in the three countries. MELTA hopes to sign more MoUs with other international counterparts. Public schools in Seoul to get English labs 韩国首尔公立学校将普及英语多媒体教室 SEOUL municipal authorities plan to install at least one high-tech English audio-video lab in each public school to enhance the quality of public English education. According to the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, the new plan will come in phases. By the end of the year, around 300 primary and middle schools in Seoul will have English-only labs and all schools will get them by 2010. |  |
