S. Korea to hire more English teachers 韩国计划大批招收英语教师加强基础教育 UP to 8,000 extra English lecturers are expected to teach in South Korean elementary and secondary schools as early as 2010. The new teachers will be responsible for developing teaching material as well as giving lessons. An education ministry official said teaching license holders who majored in English would be preferred, although the details of the qualifications have yet to be determined.
