Fewer S. Korean students to study in US 韩国大学生赴美英语培训项目实施受挫 THE Work, English, Study, Travel (WEST) program for South Koreans in the US has hit a snag before it has got underway. WEST is a program allowing up to 5,000 South Korean college students a year to study English in the US and get a paid internship there for 18 months. But due to lack of sufficient preparations and economic difficulties, the South Korean government has decided to reduce the number to 200-300 to implement it as a “pilot”.
