韩国定于2012年改革高考英语考试
SOUTH Korean Education Minister Ahn Byong-man said a new English level test would replace the English section of the College Scholastic Ability Test as early as 2012. The minister stressed the need for a separate English proficiency test for college entrance amid speculation that the plan may fall apart. The new state-run test will consist of a written test of reading, listening comprehension and writing, plus an interview to test speaking skills.

THE number of students taking the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is on course to decline this year. At the start of the year, the Educational Testing Service (ETS) projected that 675,000 students would take it by year’s end. Now ETS estimates that the total will be only about 621,000.
