HBS to accept GRE General Test scores

HARVARD Business School (HBS) has announced that it will accept GRE General Test scores for admission to all of its business school programs. In March, the business school began accepting GRE scores for admission to its 2+2 Program. Harvard is joining a steady stream of business schools agreeing to accept GRE scores. More than 220 MBA programs now participate. Previously the GRE program developer had announced that more than 190 business schools, including five of the top 10 global MBA programs, accepted GRE test scores.
ETS investigates SAT leak in S. Korea

THE Educational Testing Service (ETS) is investigating a possible security violation in South Korea involving the January administration of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Media reported allegations that some South Korean SAT takers, in Seoul on January 24, smuggled out test papers and then sent scanned copies by e-mail to acquaintances in the US, who were set to take the same exam a few hours later. The copied exam sheets were also believed to be widely circulating among private English institutes in Seoul, according to ETS officials. ETS will announce the results of the investigation as soon as possible.
Malay science, math decision in six months

THE Malaysian Education Ministry expects to reach a decision on whether to teach mathematics and science in English within six months. Deputy Education Minister Mohd Puad Zarkashi said the government wanted to make a swift decision to prevent any adverse effect on the learning process. The ministry is examining related problems, such as lack of qualified English teachers in rural schools. Another problem being considered is whether teaching both subjects in English would help the students to master the language.
