EFFORTS to completely stamp out bad English in the run up to the Olympics apparently failed, as Chinese authorities in Shanghai recently launched another anti-Chinglish campaign before the coming 2010 World Expo. Local leaders have issued a booklet that lists acceptable translations for hundreds of signs, such as "No Smoking, Eating, Drinking or Loitering".
