WESTERN companies who want to distribute pop music online in China had better learn Chinese – and quickly. New rules from China's Ministry of Culture will soon require online music distributors to translate their English songs into Chinese and submit the translations to the ministry for approval. The policy is set to take effect by the end of the year.
