If China wants to get ahead on the pitch, improvement begins at home

The China Super League (CSL) was originally modeled on the English Premier League (EPL), one of the most successful football leagues in the world. But copying the league system is not enough to boost a country's football. Efforts are needed in several aspects – structural, cultural, and behavioral – to solve China's current problems, some of which are also shared by EPL.
