Child brides-to-be revolting against Indian tradition

MORE young Indian women are saying “I don't” rather than “I do” to child marriage, turning their backs on a troublesome tradition that is still alive in the country's poorest regions. According to the Indian government's most recent health survey, of 2005-2006, 44 percent of women aged 20-24 married before they turned 18. That is down from 54 percent in 1992-93.
