DRINKING games allow people to have fun while they drink themselves into a stupor. The games have become a part of university culture in the UK. But now the country’s Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs is trying to ban them. The Guardian reported last week that the council has called for universities to withhold school funding from student clubs and societies that encourage – or require – excessive drinking from their members.
