GAO Shuang was first introduced to sign language in the hit song, Love, by one of her favorite childhood bands Little Tigers (Xiaohudui). The 18-year-old German major at the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) remembers thinking that it would be “cool” to learn to communicate with hand gestures. So she did.
